Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to take an interest in acting. While at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. He has been in films and television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and an extensive fan base. His ability to portray characters on both sides of law is what has caught the attention of the public. His first television project, he played an infamous serial killer. In later projects, he was the character of an NYPD detective. His performances on small screens are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial traits is believed to be the sharp blue eyes that have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
